What This Lumber Store is all about!
The equity you gain from creating your own wood slab heirloom is not something that can be measured on a scale, but it is something you can definitely feel. We can walk you through the entire process. First-timers no need to be anxious; this is supposed to be FUN. The #1 comment customers say is, “Wow, it wasn’t as hard as I thought; I’m glad you told me to try it.”
We aren’t in the furniture business. We are in the heirloom conversation piece business. Each and every wood slab is unique in its own way. Our job is complete when we hear a “bing” and see a photo come through of you standing proudly by your masterpiece. We don’t call it quits when you drive away from our facility.
My heart is full of gratitude as I continually reflect on the material we have provided to our customers over the years. Thank you to everyone that has consciously chosen to purchase the foundation of their project from us. My partners and I invest so much heart into recycling mother nature’s artwork, and it is an indescribable feeling to have you guys recognize both the beauty and the effort put forth to give these logs a second life. It is so special for us to be a part of your story. Deciding to spend your hard-earned money on something we worked tirelessly to provide is not something we take lightly or for granted. We appreciate you! STACK EM’ UP!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Our Sonoma County inventory is constantly evolving based on the logs we recycle. The species we mill are:
Acacia, Ash, Cedar, Claro Walnut, Cottonwood, Cypress, Elm, Ironbark Eucalyptus, Maple, Poplar, Redwood, Sycamore.
Many factors should be considered when determining the most suitable species for your project. Knowing what type of finished look you desire helps narrow down the list, as each species has different color tones and undertones as well as a different level of hardness. How hard or soft the wood is should be considered when deciding on the proper finish and application of the material.
Absolutely not! We never cut for timber value! All of the lumber we mill is from “Second Life Logs” We responsibly recycle trees that were deemed hazardous or that fell over.
Sustainability and respect for Mother Nature are our core values.
Finishing is a riddle only you can solve knowing how much time, money, and effort you wish to invest as well as the desired end results. See our guidance page for more detailed factors to take into consideration when choosing a finish.
The live edge wood slabs are priced based on many factors, as each are unique and at a different stage of their process. The main factors that determine the price are as following. Size (volume aka board foot), species, moisture content, and figure.
We have sizes from 2’ – 21’ Long and from 6”-80” Wide.
Absolutely! No one knows what you want better than you. There is a significant amount of variation and personal preference involved in this process, so we want you to be involved from start to finish.
